Foi en la Femme which is French for "Faith in the Woman" was created to help each woman being served by this company feel strong and able, having faith that God has blessed them with everything they need for their bodies to do its amazing work. Assisting women in their childbirth journey is a profound responsibility that requires me to exercise my faith at every single phase. The word of God describes Faith to be the "substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things NOT seen". My faith does not lie only in the birth process, in the woman’s labouring body, or in the baby’s instincts. Rather, my faith is in God, the Creator, Giver and Sustainer of life. That is what makes this work so special to me. There is a special mystery surrounding the delicate moments of birth that requires one to respond in faith because responding in fear can negatively impact both mother and baby. God has given me the gift of helping mothers and I aim to exercise this gift by providing the support that these mothers deserve throughout their journey.

 

Despite the disparities faced by many women in our broken maternity care systems, my faith will remain in God, as nothing is impossible for Him. The lives of many mothers are at risk when left in the care of our broken system as they are not given the proper knowledge required to make informed decisions that can avoid undesirable interventions. The moments surrounding birth should be some of the best memories shared by parents. So, shouldn't they feel supported, heard, seen, valued and encouraged to have faith? As your birth partner I will provide the informational, emotional and physical support necessary to ensure you have the childbirth experience you desire.
